Terms of use

By using Cryptologist you accept these terms. They’re short on purpose.

1. What Cryptologist is

An educational simulator: you trade real-time crypto markets with virtual money that has no value and can’t be deposited, withdrawn or exchanged. Market data comes from third parties and may be delayed, wrong or unavailable.

2. No advice

Lessons, tips, data and partner links are for education and information only, not investment advice. See the risk warning.

3. Accounts and leagues

  • One account per person; keep your password to yourself. You must be old enough to accept these terms in your country.
  • Leagues are free games of skill with virtual money. Using bugs, bots, multiple accounts or anything that bends the rules can get an account suspended or removed from the leaderboard.
  • Any prize of a sponsored league follows the rules published with it.
  • We may suspend accounts that abuse the service, and close the service or change features at any time.

4. Partner links

Some links earn us a commission. Your relationship with a partner is between you and that partner, under its own terms. See partner links.

5. Cryptologist Pro

  • Pro is an optional paid pass attached to your account: the Pro Academy lessons, high-volatility coins in the practice wallets, every historical replay and a supporter badge. Everything else stays free.
  • Passes are prepaid for a fixed period (1 week, 1, 3 or 12 months) and never renew by themselves. Buying another pass adds its days to the time left.
  • Prices are in US dollars (with the euro equivalent shown in the EEA), are displayed before payment and may depend on the country you connect from. Payments are processed by Revolut; we never see your card.
  • Pro gives access to digital content right after payment. As allowed by EU consumer law, you ask for it to start immediately and acknowledge that you then lose your 14-day right of withdrawal; the checkout asks you to confirm this. If something doesn’t work, contact us and we’ll fix it or refund you.
  • Pro doesn’t change league rules: leagues stay equal for every player. Virtual balances keep no value, with or without Pro.
  • An account suspended for abuse loses access to Pro without refund of the remaining period.

6. Liability

The service is provided as is, without warranty. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for losses resulting from decisions you make, on this site or elsewhere, or from interruptions or errors in the data.

7. Changes and law

We may update these terms; the version online applies. These terms are governed by French law, without prejudice to the mandatory protections of your country of residence.
